The same tactile approach, turned to the natural world — vivid greens, leaves, forest canopies and the geckos spotted on a honeymoon in Cuba.
Whilst honeymooning in Varadero, Cuba, geckos were a common sight — climbing smooth walls or hiding in dense foliage. This one was seen from a sun lounger near the pool, viewed from the underside of a leaf, poised and ready to dart away. The vibrant green leaf and its strong veins were created with a palette knife and every part of the brush. Fun and beautiful, these pieces have been popular with all ages.
